LA STORIA - THE STORY

 

La Poseidon Spearfish nasce nel 2015 da un’intuizione visionaria di Giuseppe Testaverde, membro del team ROIsub Italia, con un obiettivo chiaro: dare vita a una nuova generazione di arbalete che unisse, per la prima volta in modo professionale, l’eccellenza dei sistemi di propulsione di terza, quarta e quinta generazione (Fusion, Demo, FusionK Demo) con la bellezza senza tempo del legno,materiale nobile, vivo, e simbolo di artigianalità e prestigio.
Un sogno ambizioso, realizzato dopo tre anni di ricerca scientifica, test, studi idrodinamici e sperimentazioni su materiali e geometrie, grazie alla collaborazione con progettisti CAD, ingegneri navali e maestri artigiani del legno: le migliori competenze italiane del settore. Ma Poseidon non si è fermata qui. Nel 2025 per i suoi 10 anni, ha rivoluzionato il mercato mondiale, lanciando per prima il sistemapropulsivo di sesta generazione, il "FusionK Demo Invert", il più potente mai realizzato.

Ogni stile di pesca subacquea ha esigenze specifiche e un sistema propulsivo più indicato e la Poseidon ha risposto con fusti dedicati per ogni sistema di propulsione, calibrati in peso, massa e materiali per esaltarne resistenza e prestazioni. Il risultato? Arbalete progettati per raggiungere i tre obiettivi fondamentali di ogni fucile perfetto: neutralità al galleggiamento, assenza totale di rinculo e prestazioni eccezionali. Il tutto racchiuso in un design unico, che celebra la bellezza autentica del Made in Italy.

Poseidon Spearfish was founded in 2015 from a visionary idea by Giuseppe Testaverde, member of the ROIsub Italia team, with a clear goal: to create a new generation of spearguns that would, for the first time in a professional way, combine the excellence of third, fourth, and fifth-generation propulsion systems (Fusion, Demo, FusionK Demo) with the timeless beauty of wood—a noble, living material, long celebrated as a symbol of craftsmanship and prestige.

An ambitious dream, brought to life after three years of scientific research, testing, hydrodynamic studies, and experimentation with materials and geometries, thanks to the collaboration of CAD designers, naval engineers, and master wood artisans—the finest Italian expertise in the field. But Poseidon didn’t stop there. In 2025, to mark its 10th anniversary, it revolutionized the global market by being the first to launch the sixth-generation propulsion system, the "FusionK Demo Invert"—the most powerful ever created.

Every style of spearfishing has its own specific needs and ideal propulsion system, and Poseidon responded by designing dedicated barrels for each one, calibrated in weight, mass, and materials to enhance strength and performance. The result? Spearguns engineered to achieve the three essential goals of a perfect arbalete: neutral buoyancy, zero recoil, and exceptional performance. Il nostro processo produttivo integra tecniche esclusive, un tempo riservate alla costruzione degli yacht di lusso, per garantire finiture impeccabili e performance straordinarie. Ogni fase, dalla selezione delle materie prime all’assemblaggio fino al collaudo finale in vasca di tiro, è seguita personalmente da Giuseppe Testaverde, per assicurare la massima qualità e affidabilità.

Our production process incorporates exclusive techniques once reserved for luxury yacht construction, ensuring flawless finishes and extraordinary performance. Every step, from the selection of raw materials to assembly and final testing in our shooting tank, is personally overseen by Giuseppe Testaverde to guarantee the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Per i nostri fusti selezioniamo manualmente le migliori assi stagionate di legni pregiati (Mogano Sappelli, Okoumè, Padouk, Iroko, Zebrano, Tek) in base al modello. Ogni listello viene incollato a mano con un collante per carpenteria navale ad altissima resistenza, quattro volte più forte della resina epossidica tradizionale.

La lavorazione prosegue con macchinari a controllo laser CNC, che modellano il fusto al 50%, lasciando spazio all’intervento dei nostri artigiani, che rifiniscono ogni pezzo a mano, garantendo uniformità di peso, volume e assenza di imperfezioni. Il risultato: Un fusto perfetto, pronto a diventare un arbalete unico

 

For our barrels, we hand-select the finest seasoned planks of premium woods—Mahogany Sapele, Okoumé, Padouk, Iroko, Zebrano, and Teak—based on the specific model. Each strip is manually bonded using a high-resistance marine-grade adhesive, four times stronger than traditional epoxy resin.

The shaping process continues with laser-guided CNC machinery, which sculpts the barrel to 50% completion. From there, our craftsmen take over, refining each piece by hand to ensure perfect balance, consistent weight and volume, and a flawless finish. The result: a perfect barrel, ready to become a truly unique speargun.

 

La rifinitura finale dei fusti è affidata ad un liutaio, maestro tra i maestri nella lavorazione dei legni pregiati. Dopo i ritocchi finali, il fusto ormai pronto al 90%, entra nella cabina di verniciatura, dove riceve trattamenti di altissimo livello: sigillanti navali, vernici acriliche per yacht e una finitura antigraffio lucida o opaca, scelta direttamente dal cliente.

L’assemblaggio finale è eseguito personalmente da Giuseppe Testaverde, che monta un allestimento esclusivo su ogni fucile e ne verifica le prestazioni con un collaudo in vasca di tiro. Ogni arbalete Poseidon è un pezzo unico, costruito su misura per garantire eccellenza, precisione e stile.

 

The final finishing of our barrels is entrusted to a master luthier—an expert among experts in the art of fine wood craftsmanship. Once the final touches are complete and the barrel reaches 90% of its build, it enters the spray booth, where it undergoes top-tier treatments: marine-grade sealants, high-performance yacht acrylics, and a scratch-resistant finish—glossy or matte, chosen directly by the customer.

The final assembly is personally carried out by Giuseppe Testaverde, who installs a custom setup on each speargun and performs a shooting tank test to ensure every detail meets Poseidon's performance standards. Every Poseidon speargun is a one-of-a-kind creation, tailor-made to deliver excellence, precision, and style.

Nome scientifico: "Entandrophragma

cylindricum"

Provenienza: Camerun, Gabon, Costa d'Avorio, Congo (Africa centrale)

Caratteristiche: è un legno rosso-bruno profondo, resistente, duro e flessibile, con una tessitura a grana fine e venature che possono presentare effetti iridescente. Viene utilizzato per mobili di pregio, parquet, strumenti musicali (chitarre e pianoforti) e interni di imbarcazioni extra lusso.

Scientific name: Entandrophragma cylindricum
Origin: Camerun, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Congo (Central Africa)
Characteristics: It is a deep reddish-brown wood, strong, hard, and flexible, with a fine-grained texture and veins that may display iridescent effects. It is used for high-end furniture, parquet flooring, musical instruments (guitars and pianos), and the interiors of luxury yachts.

OKOUME'

 

Nome scientifico: "Aucomea Klaineana"

Provenienza: Gabon (Africa tropicale).

Caratteristiche: è un legno dal colore variabile dal rosa pallido al giallo, con grana dritta ma a volte intrecciata, caratterizzato da una tessitura media. È un legno semiduro, leggero e stabile, apprezzato per l'alta durabilità e la resistenza all'umidità, il che lo rende ideale per pannelli in uso nautico,  arredi e strutture da esterno.

Origin: Gabon (Tropical Africa).
Characteristics: It is a wood with a color ranging from pale pink to yellow, with a straight but sometimes interlocked grain, and a medium texture. It is semi-hard, lightweight, and stable, valued for its high durability and resistance to moisture, which makes it ideal for marine panels, furniture, and outdoor structures.

IROKO

 

Nome scientifico: "Chlorofora excelsa"

Provenienza: Sierra Leone, Angola, Congo, Kenya, Etiopia (Africa Tropicale)

Caratteristiche: è un legno noto per la sua stabilità, durabilità e resistenza all'umidità, che lo rendono ideale per parquet, decking e infissi esterni, specialmente in zone marine. Ha una colorazione che varia dal giallo dorato al bruno scuro, venature marcate e una tessitura fine con fibratura talvolta intrecciata.

Characteristics: This wood is known for its stability, durability, and resistance to moisture, making it ideal for parquet flooring, decking, and exterior joinery, especially in marine environments. Its color ranges from golden yellow to dark brown, with pronounced veins and a fine texture, sometimes with interlocked grain.

ZEBRANO

ZEBRAWOOD

 

Nome scientifico: "Microberlinia Brazzavillensis"

Provenienza: Camerun, Gabon, Congo (Africa Occidentale).

Caratteristiche: :è un legno dal colore bruno con venature più scure, quasi nere molto marcate che gli conferiscono il suo aspetto inconfondibile. Tessitura medio fine con fibra incrociata, è un legno duro e pesante con buone caratteristiche tecniche ma di difficile lavorazione. E' di solito utilizzato in ebanistica di pregio.

Origin: West Africa
Characteristics: It is a brown wood with very pronounced darker, almost black veins that give it its unmistakable appearance. With a medium-fine texture and interlocked grain, it is a hard and heavy wood with good technical properties but difficult to work. It is usually used in fine cabinetmaking.

PADOUK

 

Nome scientifico: "Pterocarpus soyauxii"

Provenienza: Thailandia, Laos, Cambogia,

Vietnam (Asia tropocale).

Caratteristiche: è un legno dal colore che va dal rosso all'arancio intenso appena lavorato, poi tende a scurirsi diventando bruno ramato. È considerato un legno esotico e raro, la cui esclusività ne accresce il valore.Il Padouk è classificato tra i legni duri e molto resistenti il che gli conferisce un’ottima resistenza agli urti e all’usura. é utilizzato sopratutto dai designer di interni per parquet o mobilio di pregio ad alto impatto visivo.

Origin: Thailandia, Laos,  Cambogia, Vietnam (Tropocal Asia).
Characteristics: It is a wood whose color ranges from red to bright orange when freshly worked, later darkening to a coppery brown. Considered an exotic and rare wood, its exclusivity enhances its value. Padouk is classified among the hardwoods and is highly resistant, which gives it excellent resistance to impact and wear. It is mainly used by interior designers for parquet flooring and high-end furniture with strong visual impact.

TEAK BURMA

 

Nome scientifico: "Tectona grandis"

Provenienza: Myanmar (Asia)

Caratteristiche: Il teak Burma è un legno nobile e di grande pregio, rinomato per la sua straordinaria durezza, stabilità dimensionale e impermeabilità. Caratterizzato da un colore dorato che può virare al bronzo o al rossastro e da venature nere e verdastre, contiene una resina oleosa naturale che lo rende resistente all'acqua. La sua capacità di sopportare escursioni termiche e umidità lo rende ideale per esterni e materiale principe nelle costruzioni nautiche.

Characteristics: Burma teak is a noble and highly prized wood, renowned for its extraordinary hardness, dimensional stability, and waterproofness. Characterized by a golden color that can veer toward bronze or reddish, and black and greenish grain, it contains a natural oily resin that makes it water resistant. Its ability to withstand temperature fluctuations and humidity makes it ideal for outdoor use and a primary material in boatbuilding.

Nulla è stato lasciato al caso, dal meccanismo di sgancio alle aste, alla più piccola delle viti, non utilizziamo nulla di commerciale, bensì: progettazioni dedicate in abbinamento ai materiali top del mercato.

  • Telaio e pomello sono realizzati in acciaio INOX AISI 316 brunito anti riflessi/corrosione, mentre la bobina e la base di attacco sono ricavati dal pieno in tecnopolimero galleggiante.

  • Il pomello è estraibile ed è montato su una placchetta allungabile, sempre in acciaio brunito, per facilitare il recupero della sagola.

  • Frizione autobloccante anche in caso di trazione.

      RASTRELLIERA PACCO GOMME

      Caratteristiche: 

      • Rastrelliera unica con un nuovo sistema di pulegge studiato e realizzato per organizzare e supportare il carico delle gomme su sistemi Demo (demoltiplicati), FusionK Demo e FusionK Demo Invert. 

      • La puleggia è stata tornita dal pieno in polimero autolubrificante PEEK.

      • Le gomme vengono unite al carrello tramite piccoli cilindri dalla forma a clessidra, vincolandole centralmente e garantendo un carico degli elastici simmetrico e ben bilanciato con tutta la struttura.

      • Il telaio, realizzato in acciaio INOX AISI 316, è composto da due piastre spesse 1,5mm, così da ridurre al minimo il peso.

      • L’asse della puleggia, di tipo “passante”, è stato pensato per garantire la tenuta di qualsiasi carico senza compromettere il funzionamento della struttura.

      • Può montare fino a 7 elastici, ottimizzando l’ingombro e mantenendone il corretto posizionamento. Questo sistema garantisce il massimo delle prestazioni e dell’affidabilità.

      • Single rack featuring a newly engineered pulley system designed to organize and support rubber load distribution on Demo (reduction gear), FusionK Demo, and FusionK Demo Invert propulsion setups.

      • The pulley is CNC-machined from solid self-lubricating PEEK polymer.

      • Rubbers are connected to the carriage via small hourglass-shaped cylinders, centrally anchored to ensure symmetrical and well-balanced tension across the entire structure.

      • The frame is made of AISI 316 stainless steel and consists of two 1.5mm thick plates to minimize weight.

      • The pulley shaft is of the “through-type” design, engineered to withstand any load without compromising system functionality.

      • Supports up to 7 rubber bands, optimizing space and maintaining precise alignment. This system ensures maximum performance and reliability.

      • Dyneema "nudo" di derivazione nautica  pensato appositamente per ottimizzare lo scorrimento dei nostri sistemi propulsivi.
      • Impregnazione con resina Poliuretanica PU per migliorare le performance di scorrimento (diventa scivoloso a contatto con l'acqua)
      • Sistema di prestiratura a caldo HS per previnire l'allungamento.
      • Trattamento antitaglio.
      • Carico di rottura estremo circa 500kg
